The Briarcliffe Lady Seahawks basketball team is entering their third campaign coming off a 14-11 season. Playing out of the USCAA conference, the Lady Seahawks have gained a National Championship playoff berth each of the last two seasons, relying on an aggressive, fast break style. First year Head Coach, Guy McBride, will be counting heavily on returning juniors, Jenese Bennet and Marvasia Bolden. Bennet comes off a season that saw her average 12 points per game. Bolden, a forward, led the squad in rebounding at 9.3 per game. Sophmores, Javanna Young and Chequitta Robertson, will be looked upon to control the boards while adding some offensive punch. After losing All-American point guard Toni Jones to graduation, the Seahawks welcome the addition of Natasha Davis, a point guard, out of Center Moriches High School.
