BRIARCLIFFE COLLEGE HISPANIC ESSAY/ SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION
Briarcliffe College announces it will award two scholarships in 2008 under the newly formed Hispanic Essay/Scholarship. There will be one (1) $10,000 and one (1) $5,000 award. The application deadline is March 28, 2008.

Those meeting the following criteria may apply for the 2008 Hispanic Essay/Scholarship:

  • A first-time, full-time matriculated student enrolled in a four-year degree program at Briarcliffe College
  • A student of Hispanic origin
  • A resident of Long Island or Greater New York metropolitan area
  • A high school diploma upon entrance to Briarcliffe College
  • A high school senior with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher as of the end of junior year
  • Enrolled and matriculated at Briarcliffe College in July 2008 and then be continuously enrolled full-time through the scholarship award period
  • Submit a 750 word essay on "The Impact of Higher Education on the Hispanic Community"
  • Submit two letters of recommendation (teacher and community service)
  • Complete the scholarship application and the Briarcliffe College admissions application
