BRIARCLIFFE COLLEGE HISPANIC ESSAY/ SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION
Briarcliffe College announces it will award two scholarships in 2008 under the newly formed Hispanic Essay/Scholarship. There will be one (1) $10,000 and one (1) $5,000 award. The application deadline is March 28, 2008.
Those meeting the following criteria may apply for the 2008 Hispanic Essay/Scholarship:
- A first-time, full-time matriculated student enrolled in a four-year degree program at Briarcliffe College
- A student of Hispanic origin
- A resident of Long Island or Greater New York metropolitan area
- A high school diploma upon entrance to Briarcliffe College
- A high school senior with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher as of the end of junior year
- Enrolled and matriculated at Briarcliffe College in July 2008 and then be continuously enrolled full-time through the scholarship award period
- Submit a 750 word essay on "The Impact of Higher Education on the Hispanic Community"
- Submit two letters of recommendation (teacher and community service)
- Complete the scholarship application and the Briarcliffe College admissions application
